Day
One
On day 1 the teams will be tasked with completing a very broad range
of tasks and activities;
Day
Two
On the morning of day 2, the tasks will take the form of a
town treasure/scavenger hunt;
Interspersed
in these activities will be a range of Questasks – which are a
myriad of cerebral, spatial, logical and physical team tasks that can
last from 5 minutes to several hours to complete;
All
team members will be able to participate in some if not all of these
tasks. Nobody will be expected to do anything that they do not wish
to do;
On
successful completion of each task, the teams will earn either component
parts to build their space probes, or the equipment needed to build
a launch pad or various pieces of cargo that the space probe will carry.
The teams will be notified about precisely what each activity will yield
and the final winning team will be declared at lunchtime on day 2 will
be the one which has gathered the most cargo with the greatest scientific
benefits and is able to successfully launch their cargo into space.
Raising
Money For Charity
Each team
will raise sponsorship for the charity. Everybody will be provided with
a sponsorship form that we have received from CLIC Sargent.
Teams
raising over certain thresholds of sponsorship, starting at £100
per team and increasing in £100 steps to £1,000, will receive
certain clues from Miss Moneypenny
which will assist those teams in their Mission Improbable challenge.
Put simply, those teams that raise the most before the event will have
the best head start when the competition starts on the day. This process
will be managed by Quest.
In
order for this element of the event to work smoothly each team will
need to agree a “team co-ordinator” who will be the primary
contact point with the Quest team.
