We will provide
- A waterproof course map pre-marked with checkpoint locations
- Electronic scoring device per team to record your visits to checkpoints and time
- Clear orienteering plastic bag
- Permanent marker pen
- Race numbers
- Water stations
What you will need to bring
- Mobile phone and change for the public telephones as reception can be patchy
What you are advised to take with you
- A watch
- A sun or warm hat dependent on the weather
- Sun screen
- A water bottle or something to carry water in
- Chocolate bars or other similar high energy food to eat en route
- A small rucksack to keep the above items in and some change of clothing
What to wear
Working from the bottom up:
- Walking boots, sturdy shoes, trainers or running shoes
- Light trousers or shorts
- T shirts will be provided
- Fleece or warm jumper
- Waterproof jacket
There is no such thing as bad weather, just inappropriate clothing!
