Claranet London City Charity Challenge Team Building Event - October 2009
Claranet, the London based Managed Services Provider, wanted to revamp their Charity fundraising and link it to some fun team building. They approached Quest for a solution.
A City Challenge With A Difference
Quest has been delivering City Challenge events in a wide variety of guises for many years, and given the time of year that Claranet had set for their event, the number of people they wanted to involve and the importance of raising as much as possible for the charity SOS Children, a London City Challenge offered the ideal solution.
Teams Hit The Streets Of London
At the end of their working day 90 Claranet employees assembled, many in terrific and eye catching costumes for their team briefing.
With instruction packs in hand they then hit the streets of London, and spent the next 3 hours moving quickly around London.
Concurrent Tasks & Challenges
Their main challenge was to buy and avoid rental payment on the maximum number of London’s tourist attractions, and the hot-lines through to the Quest Event HQ were soon humming.
In addition, a wide range of other challenges had to be completed, which saw some unusual photographs being taken, and some very abstract items being collected.
That linked with tackling some brain-straining problems and puzzles situated in London’s parks, meant that the teams had a very full team building evening.
A Large Amount Raised For Charity
On assembly back at the Claranet offices a winning team was announced and the teams were then able to celebrate their achievements and the fact that they had through their considerable efforts raised nearly £7,000 for a very deserving charity.
