On 26th and 27th November Quest delivered a development programme for a senior team from one of the worlds leading marketing and advertising companies.
They had recently undergone a major restructure and a leadership change, and wanted to take time away from the office to work together on a variety of tasks, some of which were directly linked with the business and some of which recreated business situations.
For this particular team Quest recommended a core practical exercise of rowing, and the team were split between 2 eights. Despite the time of year, the Thames was very kind and during a full afternoon the two rowing teams practiced a whole range of high performance team building skills, including close communication, a real understanding of pulling and working together and coaching of the less strong team members.
In the classroom sessions the team were involved in discussions and performance reviews, interspersed with practical exercises, such as a complex painting exercise and a large scale construction task. The combination of discussions, experiential learning and reviews proved invaluable for all the delegates.
The team took part in a very full and varied two days that covered all of the programme aims, enabled them as a team to set their 2009 objectives, and was also a great deal of fun.
