- A bike helmet
- Bike tools (per team) including puncture repair kit, pump and spare inner tubes
- Mobile phone and change for the public telephones as reception can be patchy
- A small first aid kit (one per team)
What you are advised to take with you
- A watch
- A sun hat
- Sun screen
- A water bottle or something to carry water in (a minimum of 1 litre)
- Chocolate bars or other similar high energy food to eat en route
- Suitable wind & waterproof clothing to keep you warm and dry as appropriate
- A small rucksack to keep the above items in and some change of clothing
