Team Building in Robin Hood’s Forest

Following the highly successful inaugural Team Challenge event in 2015, Quest was delighted to be asked once again to work with one of the leading names in the bespoke kitchen installation market.

The event had worked so well at Center Parcs in Sherwood Forest that unsurprisingly the client decided to opt for the same venue for year two.

Race start, charity team building event

Team Challenges

The first event had combined a walk (or run for the more ambitious) with a range of team challenges placed out in the forest areas just outside of Center Parcs.

For the second event the client requested a little less walking and more team challenges, which Quest was very happy to provide.

As usual Center Parcs were hugely accommodating to the team building needs of Quest, and following a thorough recce by Quest were able to provide some excellent areas actually within the village grounds at Sherwood Forest, at which teams could work.

Happy teams, outdoor challenge

Kayaking Challenge

Kayaking was a new activity for this second event, and proved to be a huge success.

Each team were given a time slot in which they could complete the kayak course, and they then had to conduct some clear strategic thinking to ensure that they arrived for their slot in good time to maximise their performance on the water.

Kayaking, team work, fun day out

Construction Challenge

A key requirement for this year’s event was to ensure that there were a number of significant changes from the previous year, thereby ensuring the wow factor for all attendees.

Quest was able to include a construction exercise that required the involvement of all attendees, that of building some go-karts which once completed then had to be raced around a marked out grand-prix course. This was fast and furious stuff, and a point in the day which met with a lot of hilarity.

An Evening to Socialise & Party

A team dinner and party was also once more a key part of the event, and this again proved highly popular with all the attendees.

After a very full and active day, the teams were in the mood to share stories and experiences, and reflect on just how much they had managed to achieve.

After a drinks reception and before the food was served, the scores from the day were announced amongst much anticipation, and although a couple of teams from year one had done very well again, it was a team new to the event who received the winning prize from the MD.

A great repeat event, and one that Quest look forward to delivering again next year.
