2014 Vet Charity Challenge Launched

We need you, you, you!

Get fit, get involved. The Vet Charity Challenge 2014 needs you! Get a team of four people together from your practice or business to raise much needed funds for a number of charities. If you’re ready to challenge your mind and body and blow away those cobwebs, read on.

The Vet Charity Challenge is a one-day event which pulls together a series of physical tasks with team building challenges along the way.

Working with your team, you will complete a course which involves walking (or running if you’re in a hurry...), off-road biking and kayaking. Sounds straight-forward? Here’s the fun bit...

YOU decide your own route and your own pace. Each stage has a range of checkpoints and each checkpoint has a value. The clock is ticking and your team needs to accumulate as many points as possible within the time limit.

Fitness, strategy, orienteering, problem-solving... we challenge you to find your inner Bear Grylls. It’s a lot of fun and an awesome way to bond with your buddies.

To get more of an idea, watch the video and take a look at the photos of last year's Vet Charity Challenge.

You won't need to travel to some "miles from no-where" location, but we do promise you an easy-to-reach venue in central England.

St Francis School, Pewsey, Wiltshire is the setting for the 2014 Vet Charity Challenge. This delightful independent school setting in North Wiltshire is located right next to the Kennet & Avon Canal, a fabulous setting for part of the challenge.

A wide range of bed and breakfast accommodation is available nearby and you and your triumphant team can join everyone after the event for some food, a celebratory beer and the prize-giving.

As well as raising funds for some really deserving animal charities, it’s a really fun way to build team spirit within your practice or business.

You can take part whatever your fitness level and we’ll provide training guidelines along the way. It’s also a cool PR opportunity and great for building your practice’s community profile.

The challenge takes place on Saturday 27th September 2014, so you’ve got ample time to limber up, get your tactical heads on and raise as much sponsorship as you can.

It is easy to enter your team of four people - find out how and enter online here.

The entry fee is £60 per person and we ask you to pledge to raise a minimum of £400 per team in sponsorship.

If you work in a veterinary related field then you are eligible to enter a team. We ask that any team is made up of at least 3 people from the veterinary world.

Veterinary related fields include staff working in a vet practice, those working in the vet industry sector, and vet or vet nursing students. If you’re unsure regarding eligibility, please contact us.

The Vet Charity Challenge is sponsored by BCF Technology, Kruuse UK and Vétoquinol and supported by the VPMA and Mojo Consultancy. Our thanks to Vetinary Practice Magazine for their help as media partner. Vet Charity Challenge is a registered charity. Charity number SC042820
